The cost for a child’s passport also increased from $115, which means that a person aged below 16 years should pay $135 for it.
A passport card to use to travel to Canada, the Caribbean, Bermuda and Mexico costs $65, whereas $30 is the cost of the renewal option for the same purpose.
Since October 2021, the routine passport processing period has been between 8 and 11 weeks, but there is an expedited option that reduces it to 5 to 7 weeks. The passport mailing time is not part of that, and it varies according to state. It possibly takes two weeks for the passport application to start processing. Now, $60 is the cost for the expedited process, which comes with an option of delivery in 1 or 2 days for a fee of $17.56 more.
