Irvine Unites to Give Hope to Local Nurses

On Friday, May 12, to show appreciation and commemorate International Nurses Day, the Great Park Homeowners Association distributed handwritten notes and thank you cards to the nurses at the Lennar Foundation Center at City of Hope Orange County in Irvine.

On Friday, nurses at Lennar Foundation Center at City of Hope Orange County devoted time to examine the letters and appreciate the efforts of local students. From drawings to poems, City of Hope Orange County revealed these expressions of gratitude by showcasing them on large letters, which formed the word “HOPE”.

On International Nurses Day, City of Hope Orange County’s nurses were thanked by local students who had created special messages of gratitude for their hard work in the field of healthcare.

Eric Morgan, the Vice President of Community Affairs at FivePoint, mentioned that this collaboration had resulted in numerous entries from educational institutions in the Great Park area.

Morgan stated that they wanted to express their appreciation to show how valuable their work is, and to show support for the healthcare centers in their area. He said that they received hundreds of letters, especially from children who were encouraged to write by their parents and teachers.

Morgan mentioned that the Great Park Homeowners Association was quite influential in raising awareness for this endeavor, noting that there are four schools in the Great Park Neighborhood. He declared that their appeal to recognize nurses definitely had the desired effect.
