Law Enforcement Arrest Burglary Suspects In Bond-Style Vehicle

A white-color Mercedes-Benz that features a license plate that flips and an advanced siphoning system, appears straight out of an American film with James Bond. The lowest part of the plate can move from that vehicle when it flips, which is a bit like in a James Bond movie. Irvine Police Department officers discovered those James Bond-inspired features after they arrested multiple burglary suspects earlier this May.

In a recent Instagram post, the department shared videos and photographs of the anti-tracking piece of equipment of the vehicle. The burglars installed the equipment for responding at the press of a mere button. There were also photographs of different currency types and what is considered a siphoning equipment unit that would insert the gas tank of the car into another vehicle’s gas tank to fill the former with fuel.

As per the post, there were burglary tools, stolen property, and evidence of identity theft in the James Bond-style vehicle. During their investigation, Irvine detectives managed to find a car that got stolen previously from the city.

Irvine cops may not have arrested James Bond himself but apprehended a female suspect and a male suspect, who are Garden Grove residents. They appreciated the quick suspicious activity report from community members concerning the vehicle. Why? Because it was the report that contributed to the apprehension of both suspects.

Peter Veres, a cop in the team, said they have arrested the suspects and charged them with identity theft, vehicle theft, vehicle burglary as well as possession of tools for burglary and stolen property.
